Christmas Spirit Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

1 litre whole milk

Black Cow Christmas Spirit vodka, 150ml

Double cream, 300ml 

Dark chocolate,150g 

Milk chocolate (buy high quality chocolate if you can - it makes all the difference),150g

Two tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Two teaspoons corn starch

One tablespoon caster sugar

One vanilla pod

One pinch of sea salt

Marshmallows to finish

Step by step

Pour the milk, cream, sugar, cocoa and corn starch in a pan and simmer on a low heat, giving a gentle stir.

Once the mixture has begun to warm up, grate the dark and milk chocolate into the pan and stir until dissolved into a thick mixture.

Add a pinch of salt and stir, then grab a vanilla pod, slice down the middle, tip to tip and submerge into the chocolate.

Allow to simmer for a few more minutes then turn off the heat, setting to one side.

Once the mixture has cooled down ever so slightly, remove the vanilla pods and finally add Black Cow Christmas Spirit.
