This luxurious seasonal twist on a timeless classic was created by food writer Aimee Twigger
Aimee Twigger is a food blogger and author from south Devon, best known for her dark and moody style of photography. She lives in a little house in the seaside town of Torquay, with her partner Howard and her Dalmatian, Archie. Ingredients (makes 4)
For the spiced coffee liqueur:
Light brown sugar, 50g
Cinnamon sticks, 2
Star anise, 2
Instant coffee, 2 tbsp
Vodka liqueur, 300ml
For the vodka liqueur:
Double cream, 350ml
Whole milk, 350ml
Black Cow vodka, 200 ml
Step by step
Add all the ingredients for the coffee liqueur into a pan and simmer until it has thickened like a syrup.
Pour into a bottle and let cool.
For the cocktail, pour 60ml of the syrup into each glass then add some ice.
Next add 1 measure of vodka into each glass.
Mix the cream and milk in a jug, pour into each glass and top with some freshly grated nutmeg, a cinnamon stick and a coffee bean.
