Recipe by Alicia Walton, Seastar, San Francisco.

Serves 2
3 egg yolks (save the whites)
600ml whole milk
120ml double cream
6 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
<1/4 teaspoon freshly ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Pinch of fresh ground black pepper (optional)
85ml Black Cow Vodka


Whip egg yolks with a blender until light and frothy, and add 3 tablespoon of sugar until soft peaks form. 
Add milk, cream, vanilla & almond, and blend on medium speed for 1 minute. Add nutmeg, cinnamon, salt & pepper and continue blending for a few moments. 
Add vodka to mix and set aside. 

Optional: whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Blend in sugar until peaks become a bit firmer.  Add this to eggnog mix and whisk together, along with Black Cow Vodka. Pour into two glasses, garnish with fresh nutmeg and enjoy with your favourite person!
