This year our Gold Top Cup competition is going global. Entries will be invited from the UK, California (USA),  Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong.

Contestants are being asked to create a drink which illustrates a momentous experience in their life like falling in love, discovering one’s true calling or being moved by some new understanding. Your drink should in some way tell the story of this event. As this is our first international competition, we are asking entrants to use ingredients native to their country of residence.

We are also asking that you keep to a limit of six ingredients. Judges will be marking on taste, presentation and narrative content. All finalists will receive a personalised Black Cow branded cocktail kit and will be brought to West Dorset, home of Black Cow, where they will experience the wonders of the Dorset coastline by sea, sailing together along the famous Jurassic Coast on a tall ship, before battling it out for the trophy. The overall winner will win the coveted Gold Top Cup, have their winning cocktail featured on the Black Cow neck tags and receive a monetary prize of £1,000!

Entries must be received by the 30 April 2017. The Black Cow team will review all entries and select six to compete at each of the regional heats across the UK and internationally. The winning contestant from each of these heats will be invited to attend the final at the Black Cow Distillery, Bar + Kitchen in West Dorset, England on the 21 June 2017.
