Spiced White Russian

This festive twist on a White Russian was created by food writer Aimee Twigger.

Makes 4
For the spiced coffee liqueur:
50g light brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
150ml water
2 tbsp instant coffee
300ml vodka liqueur

For the vodka liqueur:
350ml Double cream
350 ml Whole milk
Black Cow Vodka
Ice

Add all the ingredients for the coffee liqueur into a pan and simmer until it has thickened like a syrup. Pour into a bottle and let cool. To make the cocktail, pour 60ml of the syrup into each glass then add some ice. Next add 1 measure of vodka into each glass. Mix the cream and milk in a jug, pour into each glass and top with some freshly grated nutmeg, a cinnamon stick and a coffee bean.
